Renewal of friendship Part 2.2

Picked up Alexander and family at KK airport this morning. They are on a flight to Singapore at 2pm and will stay one night before flying to Narita and then direct to Seattle followed by another flight to Great Falls, Montana.

We went for breakfast (rice wine noodles at Lintas) and then we ended up at Tg. Aru for some drinks and the Lim family got to know the Chung family. ha....ha......

Time just passed too fast and we had to send them back to the airport at 1pm. Alexander gave me a bear hug at the airport and I don't normally hug my friends. Hopefully, we will be able to meet up again soon and my children would love to go to Montana. The order has been given......I must now save more pennies to bring the whole Lim family to North America as my bosses (children) have given me a direct order!

If I'm going to the states, I will also visit my other old friend Jane Chen from Vancouver, Canada. Better to kill two birds with one stone........... but now I've got to find the magical stone!!!! ha..ha...

I feel kinda sad that after renewing our friendship we have to part again so soon but I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to track him down.

Till we meet again, cheerio Alexander, Tracy, Devon and Daniel and have a safe and pleasant journey back home to Montana.

73's old buddy.

[ONE OF MY LITTLE GOALS IN LIFE HAS BEEN FULFILLED AND FOR THAT I AM GRATEFUL TO THE ONE ABOVE.]

Hi Dav,

Yes, it's wonderful to meet up old friends and I also like to make new friends especially if they are on the same wavelength and click with me.

Yes, I was born in Tawau but have been in KK for.....hmmmm...let me just count .......14 years or thereabout.

Cheers mate!

Hi Bren,

Aw... such a heartwarming post. Looks like the Lims and Lings will not get round to meeting this December - I am sure you've heard about the change in our travel plans due to Dav's "call of duty" so we'll have to adjourn the din until further notice.

Well, keep posting so at least we know what's cooking.

Cheers!

Lil,

Thanks for dropping by! Yes, I truly feel for my old buddy and yeah, I'm a sissy wimp but it's just me! He was truly one of the very few old mates that came into my thoughts/mind ocassionally. FYI, I'm not gay! ha...ha..... Maybe it's because we were quite close to each other at that time and the bond never left.................

Yeah, Dav spoke to me over the phone when I called him to ask for his sis's mobile and he also emailed me about the change of plans...........

As I wrote to Dav in an earlier email, friendship has no time barriers.......It doesn't matter if it's an old mate or a new friend you just met recently, as long as both parties can click on the same wavelength one should keep in touch regularly. Call me old fashioned if you will, but believe me it's difficult to find REAL friends.

If we can't do dinner in December we'll do it at a later date. Case adjourned! ha..ha..

Take care and I send my Christmas greetings to Dav, yourself and your girls. Merry Christmas!

Enjoy......and cheers.
